Our history
Vegan Education Publishers is a publishing house focused on publishing books on veganism and vegan activism. It was born from the desire of Jérémie Lopez in 2023, given the virtual absence of publishing houses on veganism in the world and the difficulty of publishing books on this subject, including in the few publishing houses interested in veganism.
Our team
Founder
Jérémie Lopez
Passionate, curious, demanding and optimistic, these are the traits that could describe Jérémie Lopez. Abandoning his planned future as an architect, Jérémie became vegan in 2013 and has never stopped dreaming of a free world for animals ever since. He divides his time between his lucrative work as a craftsman in renovation and his life project of freeing animals. He founded Vegan Education Publishers in 2013, in which he is both manager, author, graphic designer (layout of books, covers, etc.) and translator (at a modest level!). He published Guide to Veganism and Guide to Vegan Activism the same year. He is also the founder of Vegan Education, an association based in Marseille and Canarias Island which seeks to raise public awareness about veganism through education in public spaces and conferences. With the Vegan Education Youtube channel, he also tries to encourage ethical reflections on veganism to as many people as possible

Our mission
Vegan Education Publisher’s mission is to make the ethical philosophy of veganism and vegan educational activism accessible to a global audience. For this, the house is established on two axes: the quality of the works and their translations in as many languages as possible, notably in French, English and Spanish (the versions in German, Italian, Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Bengali , Portuguese, etc. are planned).
Our ethics
0% financial interest, 100% for the animals
Dissociating the ethical cause of animals from financial interests, Vegan Education Publishers refuses any personal economic profit and donates all sums collected to new books project or help the animal defense association Éducation Végane. Anyone working with the publishing house is solely motivated by the desire to participate in the liberation of animals and not to use this cause to earn money for personal gain.
Our dream
At Vegan Education Publishers, we dream of only one thing: to see animals freed from human domination. Our logo using the image of the eagle symbolizes this freedom. We dream seeing all animals regain the freedom they have always had since the birth of life on earth, before humans forced them out about 10,000 years ago. We hope for a world where humans establish a caring relationship with animals, not an exploting one. For this, we firmly believe in education and our books are there to move in this direction.
Our editorial line
The editorial line of Vegan Education Publishers is made up of five collections: vegan theory, vegan activism, vegan practice, vegan literature and veganism for children.
The books can be in the form of essays, real-life stories, testimonies, novels, short stories, history books, interviews, poems, guides, comics, cookbooks, coloring books, etc.
Our philosophy
The philosophical line of Vegan Education Publishers can be summed up in the following two points:
1 . We understand veganism as a moral principle claiming the emancipation of animals from the domination of humans, as officially defined by Leslie J. Cross in 1951.
2. We postulate that to create a vegan world, we must remove the root of the evil they suffer, speciesism. This is why we demand educational activism that is respectful of non-vegan people focused on criticizing speciesism and raising awareness of the need to become vegan and then a vegan educator. We reject superficial activism (monotematical campaigns, law changes, direct actions) and pro animal exploitation measures (welfarism, neo-welfarism, reductionarianism, vegetarianism, flexitarianism, etc.).
